The Friends of Pisgah are meeting at the Kilburn Trailhead off Route 63 in Hinsdale Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 10:00 am to work on the Town Forest trail.  This trail is on the current state park map and runs from the northeast corner of Kilburn Loop to the junction of the Baker Pond trail and the Pisgah Ridge trail.  It passes both the two bunkers remaining from the 1960 era explosives testing of the A. D. Little company and the mill site at the outlet of Baker Pond.  Our goal  to clear the trail and hang new trail signs.

Bring water and lunch.  Bring your own tools or use ours.  Hope to see you there.

Saturday November 11, 2017
Start: 10:00 am
End: 2:00 pm

Change in meeting location - all volunteers will meet at Horseshoe Trailhead on Horseshoe Road in Chesterfield.

The Friends of Pisgah will hold a volunteer work day on Saturday, November 11th at 10 in the morning. There were quite a few blowdowns in the park due to the last storm. Someone will be running a chainsaw to cut the trees and segments will have to be moved off the trails to clear passage.

You might bring along a pair of gloves, branch loppers or a hand saw for smaller trees, a lunch or snack, and plenty of water to drink.
