The 25th Annual Friends of Pisgah Picnic was held Saturday, September 29th in the Visitor Center barn.  Approximately 45 friends showed up on a drizzly morning.  Turkey and ham as well as great food brought by attendees was enjoyed by all.  Members were thanked for their support and volunteerism.

Laurel Powell talked and presented slides about three people important to Pisgah State Park:
  • Founding Friends of Pisgah member Bill Mitchell who passed away earlier this year
  • Friend and local NH legislator Dan Carr who also passed this year
  • Pisgah Park Manager Norma Reppucci who was recently transferred to Miller State Park
There was no interest in the planned Fullam Pond kayaking due to the afternoon rain.
